Strainers

Pipeline strainers, generally used by industrial and commercial customers, provide a means of mechanically removing solids and debris from a flowing fluid. By utilizing a perforated mesh or wedge wire straining element. The most common strainer particle retention ranges from 1 inch to 40 micron.

Strainers are employed in pipelines to protect downstream mechanical equipment such as heat exchangers, steam traps, pumps, etc. from detrimental effects cause by rust, sediment or other debris.
